QLICKSMART® products accommodate handle sizes 3, 3L, 4, 4L, 5, 6, 7, and 9. QLICKSMART® products are compatible with most brands of general surgery blades (#10, 11, 12, 12B, 15, 15C, 20-25). There is an IFU on the front of the QLICKSMART® Safety Blade Removal Flask that should be followed to ensure proper use for blade removal. There are also special techniques associated with the Safety Blade Removal Cassette and Single, the red printing on the cartridge indicates the direction of which way the loaded scalpel should be inserted. The process of activation, i.e. pushing the loaded scalpel into the cartridge, should always be single-handed. There is no need to hold onto the QLICKSMART® Safety Blade Removal Cassette and Single during this stage. Two hands are required only when removing the scalpel handle from the device after the blade is already secured in the cartridge.
No. Each QLICKSMART® BladeFLASK has been designed and tested to accept an approximate 100 blades. After the 100th blade has been removed, an auto shut-off gate will be activated (with the indicator shown as “FULL”) to prevent overfilling.
